1955 – Company Foundation
In 1955, the Zhongxin Metallurgical Machinery Factory was established. Authorized by the Xianyang Municipal Administration for Industry and Commerce, the enterprise integrated 11 machinery manufacturing plants (including Zhongxin, Ouxiang, Qianzhong, among others) and 6 metal rolling companies (including Deshun, Liyuan, among others) to achieve unified management under the direct administration of the aforementioned authority.
1972 – Becoming Xi'an Electric Motor Factory
After being incorporated into the Xi'an Electrical Testing Center, the enterprise was renamed Xi'an Electric Motor Factory and operated as a state-owned enterprise managed by the Xi'an Municipal Bureau of Metallurgical and Electromechanical Industry. The enterprise completed the centralization of its management system, establishing a three-level management structure consisting of the factory headquarters, workshops, and production teams. Production scale, equipment, and research capabilities were continuously upgraded, enabling batch and diversified production of reliable products with significantly improved efficiency. During the planned economy era, the enterprise became one of the three largest motor manufacturers in Northwest China and was designated by the First Ministry of Machine Building as an official supplier of tank motors.
2004 – Enterprise Restructuring
In 2004, guided by national policy and supported by provincial and municipal governments, Xi'an Electric Motor Factory completed its restructuring, transforming from a state-owned enterprise into a limited liability company (LLC) and officially changing its name to Xi'an Simo Motor (Group) Co., Ltd. With a registered capital of 40 million yuan, the enterprise became the first successful pilot project for state-owned enterprise restructuring in Xi'an.
2009 – Corporate Expansion
In 2009, against the backdrop of continuous growth and development, Xi'an Simo Motor (Group) Co., Ltd. was officially restructured into a joint-stock company, Xi'an Simo Motor (Group) Co., Ltd., with its registered capital increasing from 40 million to 165 million yuan. In November of the same year, to further expand its development, Xi'an Simo Motor (Group) Co., Ltd. completed an equity transfer with Harbin Taifu Electric Co., Ltd., officially changing its name to Xi'an Tech Full Simo Motor Co., Ltd.
2021 – Continuing Innovation
Today, Xi'an Simo Motor has developed into a large high-tech enterprise with over a thousand employees. It is a key specialized manufacturing enterprise for large and medium-sized, high- and low-voltage, AC and DC electric motors in China's machinery industry, as well as a power system solution provider integrating motor design and manufacturing, electrical control, mechanical manufacturing, mold development, casting, and automated comprehensive engineering systems.
